September 11, 2001, the United States and New York City were attacked
by Terrorists. The events of that dark day have had a profound effect
on all Americans and the civilized world. The very values that so
many Americans have died for-, liberty, freedom of religion, democracy,
justice, the pursuit of happiness, are threatened by this vile and
inhuman act. America, who's one overwhelming strength is found in
its diversity and tolerance is now in a struggle with those who
have no tolerance, no loyalty, and an indifference to human life.
The response by Americans and the world has been one of support,
solidarity and strength.
Many have paid
tribute to our fallen heroes and fellow citizens by acts of kindness,

fellow man after witnessing the horror and carnage of The Civil
War "to follow the better angels of our nature". Perhaps, we as
a people and a world community are discovering the very meaning
of those words. Perhaps we can resolve ourselves as a nation and
a world body to rekindle and awaken those "better-angels".
