REMEMBERING SEPTEMBER 11TH

On September 11, 2001, the United States and New York City were attacked by Terrorists. The events of that dark day have had a profound effect on all Americans and the civilized world. The very values that so many Americans have died for-, liberty, freedom of religion, democracy, justice, the pursuit of happiness, are threatened by this vile and inhuman act. America, who's one overwhelming strength is found in its diversity and tolerance is now in a struggle with those who have no tolerance, no loyalty, and an indifference to human life. The response by Americans and the world has been one of support, solidarity and strength.

Many have paid tribute to our fallen heroes and fellow citizens by acts of kindness, or charity ' some have attended funerals, some have donated time; some have found a deeper and more sustained path to all things alive and vital and near to us. Abraham Lincoln once prevailed upon his fellow man after witnessing the horror and carnage of The Civil War "to follow the better angels of our nature". Perhaps, we as a people and a world community are discovering the very meaning of those words. Perhaps we can resolve ourselves as a nation and a world body to rekindle and awaken those "better-angels".

America United, is the work of Latin recording artist, David Cedeņo. A very personal and moving tribute to the events and people of that tragic day. It offers up hope as a beacon to our nation and those who will stand with her in these dark days and the task that now await. Mr. David Cedeņo would like to record, perform and offer the proceeds to the many victims of the World Trade Center. We ask your help in supporting and listening to this message of hope and love for our great nation, America.

David Cedeņo was emotionally hurt and taken by the tragedy of September 11,2001. Due to this tragedy he has confined himself to writing, singing and recording this song for his country.

He was also the last band to perform at the World Trade Centers Summer Festival on August 31, 2001 (Just 11 days before the tragedy). He was a regular performer at Windows on the World, a world famous dance club on the 107th floor in building 1 of the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City.
